A few words from our 2022 Regional Executive Brian Newport.

As the end of 2022 approaches, so does my time as the Las Vegas Region RE. I won't lie, it was one of the most stressful things I have done, but it was also something I would do all over to make sure the club and sport I love keeps moving forward for people to discover it and learn to love it as much as I do. I've made several life long friends because of this silly parking lot racing and met people I get to look forward to seeing every year during big events from all over the country.
When I took over from Marlon R Tecson the only goal I had was to not let the ship go down with Covid, but in that time we had the first National Event in Las Vegas in 30 years, thanks to Marlon's earlier efforts, we repeated it again this past year and made it even better and in 2023 because of the region's efforts we have both a Pro Solo and National Tour becoming a big center for the SCCA west coast autocross scene. All of which is a herculean effort for our very small region.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support of the club! Make sure to come for the racing and stay for the people! Don't be too hard on the new guy taking over, it's a tough job!
