We had a wonderful weekend of racing and Derby action with Lucky 7’s Promotions

Start off Thursday night with the Miller County Fair Bump and Jam 

This was the first time entering the event, and Man was at a fun time!

Battled it out in heat 2 of the bump and jam, taking second place and punching a ticket to the A-main

Ran pretty good in the A-main for the most part but the cars of James Fisher and Jordan Peiter were on rails and we’re not gonna be beat

Super happy with third place out of all the wonderful drivers that were out there with great skill sets. It’s an honor to be on that podium. 

I am grateful and blessed to share that podium with the IMR Team!

Without these people pictured, I would not have the car I have and would not be able to do the things on the track that I do. I am eternally grateful to Tracy and her racing family. Love y’all 🤟

The action didn’t stop there!!! On Friday night we had the Worthy Bail Bonds Figure 8 Scramble and had a blast!

We had very tight heat races and B-features racing door to door with some of the best in the business

 I wasn’t able to wheel it to a transfer spot but was very humbled and honored to find out that we turned the fastest lap and that is saying something with the competition that’s out there!

Well we only turned out maybe 6 laps all night in Fulton for the Lucky 7’s Promotions Worthy Bail Bonds Figure 8 Championship Series Race but still had a great time doing so!

My daughter Hope Waller made her debut into the youth class wheeling two laps before taking a wheel shot that broke the ball joint on the drivers side and breaking the steering rack in three places! 😱🥳

But that’s ok because we came to party and sometimes you break a party bone!

Hope absolutely LOVED IT and that was what we came to find out, now she is hooked! Time to build her a car! 🚘 💥 🚙

Even though the car suffered such a traumatic injury, I was bound and determined to get her steering again, so daddy could race!

With the help of a few other drivers, we were able to get the tire rod and ball joint replaced. We also ratchet strapped the steering rack back down… to everybody’s surprise, Pinky steered just fine.

I took her out in B main three and made four or five laps before the ratchet strap broke sending the car into the berm

I tried to steer away from it, but it just kept climbing the wall when I hit the gas and almost flipped over

Can’t wait to see that video from Crashed it!

All in all, it was a fun night of racing and fellowship with my brothers and sisters at the track!

Hey y’all! TJR debuted the Romans 1:16 car at Eldon Turkey Fest. We got our first heat win in Heat 5 which punched a ticket to the A main…the A MAIN on our first night out!
Praise the Lord what a blessing!

I’m telling you guys when you see Jacob Wood point the checkered flag at you and then start waving it with a HUGE smile on his face…Instantly hooked!

Extra special blessing, special thanks to my buddy Mason Brock for riding along and bringing his GoPro. We not only have footage of the race. We also have in car footage. 

It was really cool that my mom, my stepdad, and my dad were able to be there for my first race. It’s true what the boys say in the podcast, racing brings family together!

Such a wonderful group of people right here! Blessed to be a part of Lucky 7’s Promotions Figure 8 Championship Series.

We didn’t win any awards this season, we only ran three events at the end of the season in what I like to call our “apprenticeship season”.

Next year will be our “Rookie Year” so hopefully we can bring home some hardware!

I was fortunate enough to score a two car shop right in my backyard! It’s in need of an overhaul so renovations are underway. I’ll share some before and after pictures when work is done. Once the shop is up to par I’ll be able to prepare the cars for next season! Stay tuned and have a blessed one!

The 2024 race season is wrapped up for Lucky 7’s Promotions and what a great one it was! I started out the season just hoping to be able to just ride with my buddy Hans Anderson but quickly made friends in the figure 8 community who let me ride with them as well. Well with all that track time it didn’t take long for the fire to drive took off! With no funding or car mechanics skills (I’m a carpenter) I felt it was a year or two off before I could afford and build a car. Unknown to me God had a plan as He always does. After 20 years of racing Tracy wanted to retire and pass on Pinky, I was blessed to be able to afford her and the rest is still to be written! Here’s some before and after paint pics of Pinky as she is still known by that name! She is a 1997 Chevy Cavalier and I love that about her, being from my teenage years that makes me feel young again. Thank you to everyone who helped on this journey, let’s go have some fun!
