Come one, come all! Have the time of your life at the Annual Dirty Dancing Festival in beautiful Lake Lure, North Carolina. Dirty Dancing meant a lot to so many people in many different ways. Each year, this festival celebrates the iconic film with movie-inspired dance and music, arts and entertainment. Grab some friends and get ready to relive the moments!
The Dirty Dancing Festival delivers two days of jam-packed entertainment for all ages. Friday, the free lakeside movie screening of Dirty Dancing begins at dusk, but ticket holders for Saturday’s festival can get in early and enjoy pre-party events, food courts, vendors, purchase festival merchandise and more.
Saturday, the festival is in full swing! Always a crowd favorite, the Asheville Ballet performs top-notch dances from the film and teaches fans the famous dance moves throughout the day. Each year there are s**g lessons, three bands and of course the exciting watermelon games and raffles hosted by PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network) volunteers.
Just when you think the day can’t possibly get any better, the Asheville Ballet hosts the Kellerman’s Talent Show. Watch, as fans get out of that corner and perform the final dance scene "I've Had the Time of My Life" alongside the Asheville Ballet. But wait, we’re not finished yet; head over to the lake cove to watch the entertaining and often humorous, Lake Lift Competition.
