❤️‍🔥Reflecting on an Unforgettable Evening!❤️‍🔥
Sunday, February 22, Jazz Spectrum Dance Company had the honor of being a guest artist at the Match Residency Festival at Brockus Project Dance Studios in Los Angeles, California. Alongside exceptionally talented artists from the greater Los Angeles area, we presented our piece “Mea Culpa: Principles of Lust,” featuring an evocative original score by the musician Cisco Dimas. Original choreography, masterfully crafted by Christine Baltes and skillfully restaged by current JSDC Artistic Director, Janell Burgess , captivated the audience with its passionate and sensual narrative.
JSDC dancers, Kiara Kinghorn and Bryan Burns brought the duet to life in the intimate setting of Brockus Project studios blackbox theatre style setting, leaving an indelible impression on all who attended.

🌟Exciting News from the Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival 2026!🌟
On January 30-31 this year we were at the renowned Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival , produced by Imagine Ballet Theatre and the amazing Mr. Ray Van Mason! !🎭
The festival took place in beautiful Ogden, Utah
at Peerys Egyptian Theatre .

Jazz Spectrum Dance Company performed alongside
an array of talented dancers and companies!
Artistic Director Janell Burgess annually teaches a jazz master class and this year performed her stunning solo work “Samba Pa Ti” set to the mesmerizing music of Carlos Santana 💃🎶✨
It’s been said that the spirit of JSDC founder Christine Basltes shines through in every performance by Burgess.

The reviews are in, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Reviewer Brian Frette was captivated by the Jazz Spectrum Dance Company
during their recent performance
at Brockus Project Studios
on February 7th & 8th!💃🎶
The show featured stunning solo works by our artistic director, Janelle Burgess ,
including “Toy Box”and “Samba Pati” (set to the music
of Portishead and Santana).
Plus, we showcased a dynamic duet
titled “Syncopated Style,” which is a beautiful homage

🎉 This past weekend, on January 30th & 31st, the Imagine Ballet Theatre in Ogden, Utah was buzzing with creativity, energy, and amazing talent!
✨Our incredible Artistic Director Janell Burgess led a Master Jazz Class that brought together dancers from near and far, all eager to explore the magic of jazz. The atmosphere was electric
as everyone poured their hearts into the movement!
💖 The heartfelt lyrical jazz class left participants feeling inspired and emotionally connected to their craft. Dancing alongside such talented individuals
