"Song of the Day"......They were from Birmingham, but not Alabama.....England. In 23 years they charted 13 records....today's went to Number 2 on the Pop, their highest charted record. Today is Saturday September 12, 2026. Tigers get roughed up here in Lake Butler last night....Fort White left town with a 33 to 0 win over the local Tigers.

"Song of the Day".....Back to the early days with today's selection. We have a flash back to late Summer of 1957.....back when Buddy Holly was singing lead with a group out of Lubbock, Texas. They were The Crickets and they went to Number One with a sound that was new to Rock and Roll in those days. Earphone up for "That'll Be The Day"....

"Song of the Day".....A million seller Gold record from the group The Four Seasons. This record made it to Number 3 where it stayed for 2 straight weeks by a group that knew what harmony was. "Song of the Day"....How 'bout some "Hippy" sound today ? A classic lined up to meet those specs. He was Oliver and he had a huge hit record that went to Number 3 on the Pop in the Summer of 1969. It popularized the Hippy culture of that time but hearing it, it really was a nice listen for all. Earphones recommended for
"Good Morning Starshine"..Nudge a little more volume and earphones to really hear.

"Song of the Day".....A former Number One from the Bee Gees....dating this record from Fall of 1978. It went to Number One remaining there for two weeks.....charting a total of 17 weeks. This is one of their classic slow-dancers ......suggest earphones.....some subtle sounds you may want to hear. A nudge on the volume be ok also. "Too Much Heaven"....

"Song of the Day".....A classic oldie up for today....going back to the Spring of 1957 with Marty Robbins. This was his twelfth Country Hit and his 2nd Pop charted hit both in 1957. But this record holds it's own today......that's 69 years.....Suggest earphones because the record is stereo mixed and is a great sound...."A White Sport Coat (And A Pink Carnation)"...

"Song of the Day".....A WUCR repeat from a few years back....for today it's Dan Seals with Marie Osmond with a Number One from the Summer of 1985. This record charted for 23 weeks and just listen...... and that's why.. This was a huge hit..."Meet Me In Montana"....Fasten on earphones to get it....
