The Krewe of Excellence Mardi Gras Ball was rescheduled after an arctic blast blanketed Natchitoches with ice and snow in January. But there was nothing but warmth as the ball was held on Feb. 28, 2026. Lafayette Mardi Gras Festival, Inc. longtime members, Albert and Nelda Broussard, traveled to bring greetings to KOE's incoming royalty, Queen Lorie Woodard and King Chad Nelson. Congratulations and best wishes to them!
