Tonight members supported the Box 414 Association/ Baltimore Fire Museum with their 80th Anniversary Bull Roast. Our Patriarch Robert L “Bob” Brown was deeply involved with these organizations and it was truly an honor to see him represented and celebrated with such an amazing organization and to enjoy an evening together!

Tonight we had the privilege to honor 1st Lt Walter Bateman. His remains were unidentified for 83 years, until the Department of Defense POW/MIA accounting agency was able to identify his remains. He was brought to Baltimore Washington International Airport today for a service at Schimunek Funeral Home in BelAir. He had NO KNOWN relatives….. so tonight an unbelievable community came together to welcome this hero home and give him the reception he deserves. The humanity in tonight was indescribable….. bwi Fire Department properly receiving the honored, the police and military escorts, the fire departments posting up on overpasses and at the funeral home, and the overwhelming community that showed up to honor a total stranger who proudly served his country and paid the ultimate sacrifice….. to be a part of this is understating how humbling it was….. and how moments like this restore the faith in humanity!

Great day on the river, catching up with friends, reminiscing about good times and looking at some great apparatus!
