Elks SOUTH Texas District Hoop Shoot The Texas Elks South District Lodges consist of lodges from McAllen, Harlingen, Weslaco, San Benito, Brownsville and Kingsville. Tune in at enf.elks.org/breeze.

These lodges host a FREE Annual Free Throw competition. Please follow this page for more information on these competitions. How It Works
• Youth ages 8-13 advance through local contests (starting with preliminary contests or a Lodge contest), Districts, States, and Regionals to the National Finals in Chicago.
• Six National Champions will have their names on a digital display at the Naismith Memor

ial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. WHY HOOP SHOOT?
• Gritty kids are determined hard workers. Gritty kids become gritty adults with strong work ethics and goal-setting skills.
• It’s free! The Elks cover travel costs through each level.
• The Hoop Shoot offers similar life lessons as other sports programs. But what other program offers kids the chance to be in the Hall of Fame? HOOP SHOOT SERVES: SERVICE SCORECARD
• The Service Scorecard is a chance for youth and their families to engage with the Hoop Shoot while serving their communities through active, monthly service projects. All ages are welcome to participate. Learn more at enf.elks.org/ServiceSC. HOOP SHOOTING THE BREEZE
• The Elks Hoop Shoot YouTube show features interviews with participants, their families, volunteers and friends of the Hoop Shoot program. LEVELS OF COMPETITION
• Youth 8-13 are invited to compete in three age groups, 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13, with girls and boys competing separately.
• Participants can only compete at ONE Lodge contest per year.
• Then, they must compete–and win–at each level along the way before stamping a ticket to the NATIONAL FINALS!

Huge congratulations to this amazing young man, Cristian Cisneros! He scored 24/25 then went into a triple shoot off, scoring 13/15! In the end, he took second place to the competitor from Oklahoma. Cristian represented the state of Texas, Elks SOUTH Texas District Hoop Shoot and Elks Lodge 1889 Harlingen,TX very well!!! Cristian was even chosen to be the guest speaker at the banquet! Wtg Cristian! We are so proud of you! 👏
