Walnut Bowl with natural edge. The moss is a little ragged from the finishing, but should restore with a little care.

Just finished up this piece in time for the show this weekend. If you have wondered where we were this summer, we have been involved in a whole house remodel that ate all our time. The contractors are all done, and we have moved on to the things we have to do (like unpack 30 more boxes). Because of the remodel, we cut back our shows and will be at only two.

This weekend, November 7 & 8,we will be in Poulsbo at the First Lutheran Church Christmas Bazaar on Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-4.

November 21 - 23, we will be at the Holiday Food and Gift Fair at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, Modern and Medieval Woodturning will be at the Cultural Arts Council NW’s Maker’s Fair at the Poulsbo Waterfront Park on Friday – Sunday.

The hours are:

Friday: Noon - 6 P.M.
Saturday: 10:00 - 6 P.M.
Sunday: 11:00 - 5 P.M.

Ralph and I will be there and would love to see you.

My most recent pyrography project. I call it "Shadow Leaves".

I was experimenting with negative space and textures. My original texture change did not provide enough definition for the shadow leaves, so I painted them with an alcohol ink.

I have some ideas about what to do different with the next one, I just need the right bowl to come along.

Ralph turned the bowl.
