Surprise, bitch. I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me 😏

Pumpkins are here! They've been causing mayhem and destruction at 2 markets already. People have been CLAMORING for them. Jk...they modestly smell them and say, "Oh, that's nice. I'll take one, please." 🙄 Signs of a s**t economy, I guess.

But that's okay, because we will keep making and slinging this amazing pumpkin, fall, basic bitch scent every fall til the ghouls come home.

We're back home!

And after this past weekend, I think we can all agree that a little cooler weather would be nice 🥵

We came into September expecting a little relief from the summer heat, and instead found ourselves in 90-degree temperatures. Not exactly what we had in mind when we applied for this market last November.

And we get it. When it's that hot, the last thing you want to do is walk around a market, carry heavy bags, walk too far from the lemonade truck, or stick your nose into something to smell it - especially anything pumpkin shaped or scented! 😂 Sometimes the best place to be is wherever the air conditioning is blowing.

So if you weren't able to make it to the market to see us, please know we understand. We missed you, but we don't blame you one bit for choosing to stay cool. We would have made the same decision! 😆

To everyone who came to Good Makers Market, shopped with us, and spent part of your weekend with us: thank you 🥰 We know it wasn't the easiest weather for a fall market, and we appreciate you more than you know.

This is from a performance in 2019. The concert was during the national ACDA convention, which happened to be at the Kauffman in KC. I played earlier in the concert (obviously not this piece). The group is from Iowa and from the time I lived and worked in high schools there.

The concert was about the darkness, fear, and turmoil of night turning into the light, bright, joy of the morning. This was the transition piece from night into day.

I don't post much about my time as a musician. It really has nothing to do with what I do now. BUT if there was ever a time to post, maybe this is it.

O.M.G. are we posting our schedule early?? 🤯

Yes! So you can plan to come see us 😀 We are covering 5 cities in 3 states. Ample opportunity to sniff all the things AND catch our seasonal fall scents out in the wild!

What does that mean? Basic Bitch Autumn will of course be back. She is currently defrosting before being available again on August 31. And I suppooooooose 🙄 we'll bring back Horror Movies and Butt S*x since it was such a hit last year. Plus, there will be a new Wilde Lavender scent that will quell all of the "why don't you have anything with lavender in it?" questions.

And maybe a couple other surprises we won't mention yet 🤔

As you add these events to your calendar, take note that BGC means Big Gay Collective and WL means Wilde Lavender. That is who we'll be representing at those specific events.

Are you excited to be closer to fall? 🍁🍂 We're hoping for cooler temps and the chunkiest of sweaters, apple c***r dreams and hats with brims so wide and flat they eclipse all who dare to walk near us.

Haven't signed up for a candlemaking workshop yet? Consider this: YOU GET TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN VESSEL!

Feeling neutral and drab? Taupe is for you. Extra, unicorn and gay? Iridescent, for sure. Feeling a little deep and thoughtful? Blue and green. And pink...just for fun!

You'll also be making a scent roller with your own unique scent, designing your own labels, and having a lot of fun as we talk and learn and snack 😀

Saturday, August 15 • 3:00 PM
21+
An afternoon of candle pouring, fragrance blending, and great company. You'll make a handcrafted soy candle and a matching fragrance roller to take home.

Thursday, August 20 • 6:30 PM
Ages 15+ (Anyone 18 or younger must attend with an adult.)
One last summer hurrah before school starts. More of a chaotic, family-friendly atmosphere.

Saturday, August 29 • 7:00 PM

Our Grown-Up Candle Night. Candle pouring, fragrance blending, and conversations that only happen when nobody has to be home to help with homework.

Whether you're bringing your book club, your mom group, your coworkers, your neighborhood w**e ladies, your bisexual swingers group (...the dancing kind, you freaks!), your pickleball partners, your girls, g**s, and theys, your "we should get together more often" friends, or the people you met in line at Costco...we've got space for you!
