πŸ”₯πŸ’š GREEN VALLEY // Mile 29.4 πŸ’šπŸ”₯
The heat was no joke out there. β˜€οΈ
But neither was the heart of the volunteers, medics, and crews keeping runners moving forward.
Ice bandanas. 🧊
Buckets of water. πŸͺ£
Cold sponges. 🧽
Hydration packs packed with ice.
Quick check-ins from medics.
Aid station crews moving in sync like a perfectly choreographed dance β€” anticipating needs before runners even had to ask.
And runner after runner came through still fighting, still smiling, still chasing that finish line with another 70 miles ahead.
This is ultra running.
Not just grit from the runners… but teamwork, care, and people showing up for each other in the middle of the heat. πŸ’š
Green Valley was bringing the cool-down magic all day long, just as ALL the aid stations on the course. A true team effort β„οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

β€œSpace Blanket Steve” rolled into Penny Pines 1 AS cold, tired, and questioning his life choices πŸ₯Ά
The crews from and warmed him up, fed him, hydrated him, wrapped him in foil like a baked potato…
…then sent him back into the night for another 40 miles 🌌πŸ”₯
Ultrarunners are built different.
