Happy New Year, everyone! The Celtic New Year Festival 1995 was the first event we did together, and we have been producing and promoting great events ever since. The new year of the ancient Celtic calendar started with Samhain on Nov. 1, which - like the Hebrew calendar - began at sundown on October 31st, and was the origin of today's Hallowe'en. The Celtic New Year was the first in the "Celtic Calendar Series," at the beloved venue Garden in the Heights.

Houston Conjunto Fest 2025 is a musical and cultural arts festival celebrating a Texas genre of Mexican American music that has been influenced by the music of German immigrants to Texas, that features a four-piece group that features the accordion, bajo sexto, bass guitar and drums. There will be arts, jewelry, clothing, craft vendors and music along with various food vendors. There will be educational workshops focused on the instruments and the musical techniques.

The family-friendly event will showcase Conjunto music in Houston in one of Houston's oldest Hispanic neighborhoods, close to downtown. The Navigation Esplanade is a four-block area in the heart of Second Ward located 5 minutes from Downtown Houston. The Esplanade is a planned and developed market destination surrounded by some of the best tasting Mexican restaurants in Houston, and 2 blocks from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and school, the oldest and first Hispanic church in Houston.

Mark your calendars! Christmas at Winedale will be Sunday, December 15, noon to 4 p.m. It's going to be a great day with demonstrations, music, food, tours of the houses, a hay ride, kid's crafts and more! This event is free.

Shakespeare at Winedale will be giving a performance.
