Our Corrosion team just completed a reline of a crude oil condensate field tank. The FRP liner was completed detreated and had severe corrosion on the tank bottom as well as the side wall and roof repairs. Thorpe was able to install an FRP liner to reduce cost and down time for the client. March is Ladder Safety Month and we at Thorpe are committed to keeping our employees safe! OSHA has specific requirements for working safely on ladders.

Loads – self supporting and non-self-supporting ladders must be able to support at least 4 times the maximum intended load.
Angle – Non-self-supporting ladders should be positioned at an angle that the horizontal distance from the top to the foot is about ¼ of the length of the ladder.
Rungs - These must be skid resistant and spaced 10 to 14 inches apart.
Slipping – Ladders should be free of oil, grease, wet paint, etc.

Our St. Gabriel group just finished up work in an Ammonia Unit doing refractory repairs in an auxiliary boiler. This included demo and repair of a multi-layer refractory system. Additionally the team replaced burner tiles and repaired hot spots behind tubes. Great work St. Gabriel!
