Last night we marked a major milestone as Jake celebrated his graduation from Texas A&M University with a Magna Cum Laude degree in finance from the Mays School of Business. As he prepares to embark on a new chapter in his career at a wealth management company in Plano, Texas, we couldn't be more thrilled to see him take the reins of his future. His accomplishments are a testament to his dedication and perseverance, and we have every confidence that he will continue to excel in all his endeavors. Congratulations, Jake, on this outstanding achievement!

Looks like rooms in Pierre will be hard to come by. I suggest we all make our own plans for 19-21. We will meet up at the truck stop at the corner of Hwy 83 and Hwy 14 near Blunt SD on Thursday 1/20 around 9:30am. Land is less than 5 minutes from there. Looks like I am going to be staying at the Wheatland Inn in Onida SD. Pierre hotels are mostly full due to the legislation being in session. We will hunt 2 days around blunt and then relocate to Faulkton SD. I know a lodge there where we can stay and I can make all of those reservations in advance if you commit. We can hunt 2-3 days near Seneca SD. PM me if you would like to speak on the phone.

I have three firm commitments right now. Looks like another 6 making decisions. Here is what I have so far. Pierre has legislation in session and rooms there are few. Spoke to owner at the Wheatland Inn in Onida SD. 15 miles from hunting ground. They have rooms available. Inn has an attached restaurant. Need to get rooms reserved sooner than later.

The www.faulkton212lodge.com has availability for us. Pricing here is dependent on the number of guest. Stayed here many time. Excellent facility and owners.

All hunting land is secure. Fees only for the Seneca land owner. $150/gun/day. We will hunt here 2-3 days.

Get really excited now. Spoke to Doug the land owner. He is ready to host. He informed me that they have gone ahead and combined all the standing corn. He said he is leaving the standing milo strips for our hunt. Still tons of birds and places to hunt. He wants to hunt with us and that makes for a great hunt. That time of year we should have more access to the cattail sloughs which were inaccessible in Dec due to wetness.

I will need $800 per man for the hunting. Then sooner the better. You can send via Zelle or PayPal at [email protected]. If you want to send a check I can pm my home address.

I have made the reservations with the lodge.

The dates are being finalized for the January hunt. The dates are for a four day hunt January 21 to the 24th. We will be staying at the Faulkton to 212 lodge.

Here are the rules of the game.

Once a hunt date is set it will be considered confirmed. Once you are on a confirmed hunt you will be notified. 100% of the hunt fee will be required a minimum of 10 days before the first day of the hunt. Up until one week seven days before the hunt that fee will be refundable. After that if you have to cancel your fee will not be refunded.

All fees for the lodge accommodations are due upon arrival. These fees will be paid in cash. You will be notified of the exact amount that you are responsible for before arriving.

After your hunt you will be given Additional requirements. These requirements are for the protection of the landowner and lodge relationships that we strive to maintain. Any violations of these requirements will automatically disqualify you from any future hunting opportunities.

Last but not least, follow the rules and you will soon become part of an extraordinary opportunity to hunt wild pheasants in South Dakota and enjoy South dakota hospitality
