Mu Beta Psi, National Honorary Musical Fraternity Mu Beta Psi is a National Honorary Musical Fraternity, open to all genders and majors. Our organization is dedicated to music, service, and Brotherhood. Price.

Our Four Purposes are:
To honor outstanding musicians,
To stimulate interest in musical ensembles,
To advance music to its proper place as an educational subject,
To actively promote fellowship among musicians everywhere. Mu Beta Psi was founded at North Carolina State University on November 5, 1925 by Major Percy W. Percy "Daddy" Price was in charge of the military band at first, and became the f

ounder and director of the Music Program at the University. He founded Mu Beta Psi with the goal of bringing together the musicians in different ensembles and creating a family within the Music Department. Today the Fraternity has active Chapters in North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, New York, and New Jersey.

If you’re a college student at one of our chapter’s institutions or a high school senior committed to attending one of them, and are NOT a Brother of Mu Beta Psi (yet), this scholarship is for you!
