About the fulldome film:
Imurse 3000 is a 40 minute fulldome odyssey that invites you on an imaginative journey through the seasons of time, making pitstops at three pastime mesmerizing immersive theatre shows that can only be accessed inside select planetariums.

Using the help of our time traveling host, .witch she will take us on a journey through stories contained within stories that will leave you reflecting on how the radiance of creativity shines from our souls and is mirrored in the stars. This fulldome sitcom promises a dazzling blend of art that takes you on a kaleidoscopic journey to this former venues past⏳🌀 Embark on a quest for a fulldome future that can only be quenched in the quest for the stars🪽💫

THEME: Art Immortalizes the Dead. The channel of creativity that we open during our lives makes it so we can live on beyond our bodies! Ky Kalani will be honoring artists who have passed that have inspired her journey. We will be bringing these artists, their sounds, characters, and inspiration with modern twist of the ever-inspiring .

The time I chased a monk 😹 I really wanted to get her on film because she was such a spiritual gangster.

Here are some captures from my journey along the ancient 800 mile footpath of - linking 88 sequentially ordered esoteric Buddhist temples on a “journey to enlightenment” that is older than a millennium. This adventure came full proof with accessories like traditional Japanese practices and songs, a book of stamps, my virtual reality equipment, and many bloody toes. 😹

I spent a lot of time reading, worshipping, singing and praying on this journey, primarily to the founder of Esoteric Buddhism - a prolific man from 800AD who brought Buddhism to Japan and published works that altered the state of human consciousness. He established this trail as his own journey to enlightenment, and to this day the islanders of Shikoku operate with devotion and reverence to the pilgrimage. It is truly where I encountered some of the happiest and friendliest people on earth. 🥹

Here you can roll back the clocks of time older than comprehension. I felt called to go back in time, by myself, on foot, and dive deep into the foundations of these philosophers, to find the friendly monks and sages, to begin asking and documenting these temples and their intertwined wisdoms, and to use any gained insight to develop practical priming exercises that can instantaneously dissolve ego and bring us closer to post-modern mass harmony.

It was then an honor to present this project at Fulldome Film Festival too, linking the fulldome technological community with this rural & spiritual island in Japan.

I only hiked the first 90miles / 17temples of the Shikoku, and I’ll be doing a prefecture every year until I finish. This is definitely a long term project. I’ll post more about it again soon 😇

Aloha IMURSE Ohana. After 4 years of serving our community at the Chinatown Artist Lofts, IMURSE is announcing the closing of this chapter 🌺 We recieved a “Non Renewal of our Lease” & were informed that the Artist Lofts will not support performers, musicians, or gatherings of any kind ever again. Our team is positively embracing this news and READY FOR THIS SHIFT! 🌺

For now, we will continue to serve our community members with unique pop up events & productions at locations around the islands. We will notify you of these via our email & text threads and will continue to serve our members. Some of our workshops will shift to a new location.

IMURSE is also excited to announce that we will additionally be leaning into producing Immersive Fulldome Planetarium Shows, introducing a new visual performance and spatial audio musical experience to the Hawaiian islands.

With that, we announce the last show at our current venue THIS SATURDAY APRIL 27th with “April Showers Erotic Soirée.”

This is our 4th grande immersive theatre show, and the theme is coincidentally SPRING TRANSFORMATION & RENEWAL. With a cast of over 12 local artists, it includes elaborate costumes, acting, singing, choreo, aerials, dance, implied nudity, & custom soundtracks in a creative storyline & showcase.

THIS SATURDAY! will be an open gallery. We will be playing music, have some art / vending, and serving elixirs to vibe and chill. Our internal IMURSE team may be working with VR/XR and so there may be a studio / creating essence. Even DJs can come drop in. Just opening our doors and seeing who comes through! This is a good alternative stop to add to your weekend, compared to the rest of what Chinatown has to offer. 8pm-12am. Free for members, but a required donation for newbies. ✨

This 9pm-2am afterparty is also in collab with:
- HFA Fire Artists, who will be spinning glow props from 8:30pm-9pm in the streets before coming to IMURSE!
