After 40 incredible years of teaching music in the Hollister School District, Ms. Susan Silveira is retiring. Throughout her career, she has poured her heart, time, and energy into inspiring thousands of students, sharing not just music, but a lifelong passion for it.

Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom—many of her students have gone on to study music at the university level and build careers in the field, a testament to her dedication and influence.

Sharing the love of music is a rare and meaningful gift, and our community has been truly fortunate to have Ms. Silveira.

TWO WEEKS UNTIL AUDITIONS!
Step into a World of Pure Imagination with San Benito Stage Company
The countdown has officially begun! We are just two weeks away from auditions for our Summer Family Musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. San Benito Stage Company is looking for a vibrant cast of dreamers, candy makers, and golden ticket winners to bring this magical story to life on stage.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a newcomer ready to shine under the spotlight, we invite you to join us at the Hollister High School Auditorium for our upcoming audition dates.
AUDITION DETAILS
Location: Hollister High School Auditorium
Dates & Times:
Thursday, April 23 | 6:30 PM
Friday, April 24 | 6:30 PM
Saturday, April 25 | 9:00 AM
Please note: Callbacks will be held on April 25th following the morning session, if necessary.
WHAT TO PREPARE
The Song Please come prepared with a musical selection that showcases your vocal range. You must provide your own accompaniment on an electronic device (phone, tablet, etc.).
The Moves Be ready to move! All auditionees will participate in a dance call. To protect the auditorium stage, no street shoes are permitted. Please bring dance/jazz shoes or be prepared to dance in socks.
The Forms Streamline your check-in process! Scan the QR code on our official flyer to access and complete your audition form ahead of time.
REMOTE SUBMISSIONS
Don’t let the Great Glass Elevator leave without you! If you cannot attend in person, we are accepting video auditions.
Deadline: Submissions must be received by Thursday, April 23rd @ 6:30 PM.

Join us Friday, April 17th at the Hollister High School Student Union for a fun evening with band and color guard families!

🕠 Doors open at 5:30 PM | 🎥 Movie starts around 7:30 PM
🎲 Come early to enjoy games planned by our Band Council students!
🍿 Free popcorn provided—feel free to bring your own food and snacks. Don’t forget blankets for comfy seating!

URGENT MESSAGE:

I am hoping you will help with an advocacy action to increase the California Arts Council’s budget to $50 million in the upcoming budget year. Assemblymembers Chris Rogers (AD 02) and Chris Ward (AD 78) have co-authored a Budget Request Letter urging the Assembly to increase the California Arts Council budget to $50 million.


This is great news. But we need undeniable support from the Assembly. It would be great if you could complete these two action by Monday March 2nd.
