I absolutely love this quote. It is the very first quote I posted on my Midlife Courage instagram account back in 2018.

A lot of the women I work with feel like they HAVE TO continue living the life they have been living. Even though they can’t shake the idea that the life they are living doesn’t even scrape the surface of who they are and who they dream of being.

So on this Monday morning, let me give you permission to “Let go of the idea that you just always be who you have always been.”

I could not love this more! What would you choose to do if you erred on the side of audacity?!

I love this.

I hate this question when it expects a "job" response as I think that we are SO much more than our careers.

I love this idea of"being" in the way that Rachel Cargle describes it.

I also love the idea that we "still have so much life to grow up into."

I am SO enjoying the books that I put on my Christmas list.

“Is this anything?” by Jerry Seinfeld. I asked for this after hearing Jerry being interviewed on the Tim Ferriss podcast and am really enjoying it so far.

“In the Company of Women” by Grace Bonney, Founder or Design*Sponge. I have flicked through this book every time that I have gone to Anthropologie for the past couple of years and finally asked for it. As a woman who has owned her own business since 2005, I find the stories of women entrepreneurs fascinating and inspiring.

“Let’s Do It” - The Authorised Biography of Victoria Wood by Jasper Rees. I don’t think any woman inspired me more when I was growing up then Victoria Wood and it is such a pleasure to learn more about her. I am also watching more of her stand-up shows and plan to work my way through all of her work during the next year. Such an extraordinary talent!

“The Path Made Clear” by Oprah. I do love me some Oprah and this book is a collection of life advice from some truly inspiring individuals.

Happy 2021! Thank the Lord that 2020 is over.

What if today was Day One of doing the things that you really want to do?
