SAVE THE DATE! Musky Fest: June 26-28, 2026 Hayward's largest summer celebration of the great fishing history of Wisconsin's northwoods.

Held annually the weekend following Father's Day in downtown Hayward. The weekend includes the crowning of our Musky Festival Queen, sidewalk sales, large handmade arts & crafts show, live music, children's games, great food booths, Musky Run, fishing contest and a carnival. Everyone will enjoy regional musicians during Friday and Saturday night street dances. The weekend concludes with a large parade on Sunday.

Don't miss this year's Burger Eating Contest presented by EDDY’s on Third ! A Musky Fest tradition that puts speed and appetite to the test! Contestants race to see who can finish the most burgers in 15-minutes while the crowd cheers them on!

Event Info: Friday, June 26, 2026 @ 4:15pm @ The Sevenwinds Casino Main Stage in Downtown Hayward (intersection of 2nd and Main St.)

Please register online in advance. Limited to 10 participants. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes awarded.

Prizes: Gift cards to Eddy’s on Third + bragging rights will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place contestants!

Deadline to guarantee your shirt size for the Musky Run/Walk 5K/10K is next Friday 5/29. Register today! All participants will receive an official Musky Fest medal and will be entered into a prize drawing!

Race starts at 8:30am on Sunday, June 28th.

Shue's Pond will be stocked for the Learn to Fish and Family Fishing Events at Musky Fest! Thank you to Padua Exteriors Inc. for sponsoring these fun events.

Staff and volunteers will be at Shue's on Friday, June 26th from 12-4pm providing equipment and supporting learning and the love of fishing! Thank you to Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Fishing Has No Boundaries - Hayward Chapter, and Terry Peterson Fishing Foundation for their support!
