Need help fixing up your home? The Community Development Division is hosting a Pre-Application Event for its Minor Home Repair Program on Wednesday, October 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center.

This program offers limited assistance to eligible homeowners for essential repairs such as roofing, plumbing, HVAC and other minor improvements. Only 50 pre-applications will be accepted, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility Requirements:
▪️ Must meet income limits
▪️ Must live within Hattiesburg city limits
▪️ Home must be owner-occupied (no heir property)
▪️ Property taxes must be current or tax-exempt
▪️ Flood insurance required if the home is in a flood zone

This is a one-time assistance program. Submitting a pre-application does not guarantee approval or funding.
