Bad Road is partnering again with Formula 369 for 2026!

If you’re not fueling the work you’re doing with the right carbs, you’re leaving a ton of potential on the table and probably bonking way earlier than you should!

Formula 369 has the ratios dialed for proper carbohydrate oxidation which means more energy with less gut fatigue and stress.

I personally use it to fuel my hard efforts, going as high as 120 grams of carbs per hour!

The first 50 participants to sign up will get some in their bags at packet pickup, and we will have it in bulk at aid stations along with their electrolyte mix! Thanks so much to Eric & team at F369.

We will never charge you for digital copies of any photos or videos taken of you at our events. This event is yours, and so are the photos. ❤️

Spring rain has come late here in the Ozarks and the humidity is through the roof! We got lucky last year with the weather but it could be a hot one this year. Get out there and get your heat training in now, just in case. 😉

Thanks so much to our friends at Lazy W Pallets for supporting our event through sponsorship. We are excited to work with them - not just in this regard, but also on some amazing things in the works we hope to share soon! Their sponsorship this year will go directly toward making the race the best it can be.

Will we see these fall in 2026?! Stuff to think about:

⚒️There will be Women’s Course Records in addition to Men’s - and some of the women may take the Overall CR’s

⚒️This year the routes are ‘backwards’ - participants will ride the loops clockwise on even numbered years. This leads to the 99er’s and 199er’s sharing the course for the first 74 miles, which is arguably a BIG advantage for a potential new record!

⚒️There are a few folks coming to really ‘race’ the 199. The guys that did it last year were, too, obviously; IIRC Earl was testing his setup and strategy for Doom. That being said there are a couple folks this year that are coming to throw down and really see how fast they can push it and we are stoked!

⚒️Kelly kinda threw us all for a loop last year on the 99. Here’s the truth - it’s a tough course. Maybe not the hardest around but it’s still a real challenge because it’s basically a century ride on a myriad of road surface types over endlessly rolling terrain. That said, we were expecting around an 8 hour 1st place finisher the first year. This year, although a lot of the folks from last year are back again to have fun and just see what the day brings - we still think someone will try to push the CR closer to the 6 hour mark. Guess we will see!

⚒️Hopefully we will get together and do a group ride on the new-for-this-year 49er soon. That said, your RD has already ridden most of the roads on it at different times. It’ll be interesting to see the range of times on this one…

⚒️Weather… it’s still way too early to talk about what the weather will do. But last year was perfect! If it’s hot, the likelihood of new records is going to drop a ton.

What do you guys think?!

99 Miles of Bad Road is the premier distance for our event. It is a hard days’ ride, with something different to see and enjoy every mile.

Expect 100ish feet of elevation per mile on average (meaning a few miles here or there may be a bit more!)

Participants will have a full aid station around Mile 60 at Mammoth Spring State Park, and self-serve water drops every 20 miles.

Family and friends have a few options for places to snag photos of you, and cheer you on - or pick you up if you decide you’re a weenie……

Depending on skill level and weather etc the fastest finishers will come in around the 6 hour mark; slower finishers will come in 10-12 hours.

But… there is no cut off. This is your ride, not ours. 😎
