A huge thank you to everyone who came to Freedom Celebration last night at The Shoppes! Thank you to all the volunteers who worked all afternoon in the heat to serve the community. You were amazing and went beyond expectations to help from the early morning to the final teardown. We are appreciative of the young men from Vance Air Force Base who made up the color guard and to the Guthrie Police Department and Fire Department for bringing the vehicles out for people to see and for their interaction with the people who came. The goal was to honor and celebrate our military and first responders and we hope you felt our appreciation for all you do for us. Thanks to those who shared your talent and kept feet tapping and put occasional tears in our eyes. We pray for blessings for all of you.

TODAY!!! Freedom Celebration in downtown Guthrie at June Events at The Shoppes. Bring your own comfy chair and games you would like to play—Dominoes, Checkers, Chess etc. We will have tents set up with tables. Opening at 4:00 with Vance Air Force Color Guard. Lots of music and free hot dogs, pies and water! Games for kids! Guthrie Police and Fire Department with vehicles will be present. Come out to honor our military and first responders.

Thank you to Jeff Chappell for bringing the big grill for the Schwab Dogs and to Jim Case, honorable city councilman, for volunteering to grill the dogs! Thanks to Tim Layman for organizing the games and to First Christian Church and Wanderfolk Spirits for loaning us some tables and chairs. Thanks to the Guthrie Police and Fire Departments for bringing their vehicles and to Phil Nichols for facilitating that. The City of Guthrie has been a great help with all the details. We have great people helping with so many things and we appreciate you. You know who you are❤️. Hope all of you can come out tomorrow, Saturday June 29th from 4-8.

Freedom Celebration on Saturday, June Events at The Shoppes from 4-8. At 4, the color guard from Vance Air Force Base will begin the event. The Guthrie Police Department will have the MRAP vehicle on site and the Guthrie Fire Department is scheduled to be there with a vehicle as well. We are excited to honor the people who keep us safe and fight to preserve our freedoms. We hope you can join us!

We will have tents and tables set up for board games. If you wish to bring a game that you like to play, please do so. There will be games for children as well. Free Schwab Dogs will be served with apple pies from J&J’s Bakery and free water. Bring your own comfy chair if you wish and—if you have drink preferences, please bring them. The Shoppes will be open and some will have drinks to purchase and wonderful snacks.

Freedom Celebration on Saturday, June Events at The Shoppes from 4-8. We are appreciative for the musicians that will be performing and celebrating with us. They include Sadie Russell with her talented students, Cowboy Jim Garling, Clint and Sara Lunnon, Rocky Schmied and Ric Gorden. Free hot dogs, apple pie and water will be available. Although some chairs will be provided, you are welcome to bring your own. Stay tuned—more info to be shared.

We are honored to have the Color Guard from Vance Air Force Base with us on June 29th. They will be opening the Freedom Celebration with the presenting of the flag at 4:00.

Please come to Freedom Celebration at The Shoppes on Saturday, June 29 from 4-8. There will be live music, games, free hot dogs and apple pie. This event is to honor our miltary and first responders. Look forward to seeing you!!
