Had a good turnout yesterday for the Batesville Bassmasters Tournament! They’ll be back a couple more times this year and this is another example of a group that gives back to their community. If you want to help with their efforts, while fishing for some great prizes, you should consider joining the next tournament.
You can contact Mark Martin (NOT the NASCAR guy) for more info and for raffle tickets on the boat (pictured) 870-613-7982.
Also, congratulations to and on the Big Bass of the day…9.18 lbs!!
The Batesville Bassmasters are more than just avid anglers—they're a community dedicated to conservation, passion for the sport, and uplifting the next generation. For years, this group has combined their love of fishing with meaningful action, helping protect the natural resources they cherish and ensuring that their community thrives.
One of their most impactful contributions has been their commitment to education. Through dedicated scholarship programs, the Batesville Bassmasters have given back over $31,000 in the past eight years to support local high school students. These scholarships help deserving students pursue their educational goals and turn their dreams into reality.
The group's mission blends respect for nature with community service, showing that the sport of fishing can be both a personal passion and a powerful force for good. Whether it's organizing conservation efforts or awarding scholarships, the Batesville Bassmasters demonstrate what it means to give back, one cast at a time
