That was one for the books! We here at the Greenwood Lake Irish Fest and from the Festival Works Team would like to give out some many thanks to all the hard working crews, artists, volunteers, staff, sponsors, advertisers, vendors and other members who made this 1st year a reality on a 90 day last minute turnaround!
We would like to thank Shilelagh Law NYC, Jameson's Revenge Niall & The Durty Nellys, The Ruffians, Fiddle Frenzy, Emish, Sheridan Rúitín, Niall O'Leary Irish Dance Troupe, The Sheahan-Gormley School of Irish Dance, Barleyjuice, The Prodigals, T McCann Band, the Brass Rascals, the USG Dance School, Orange County AOH Division 1 Pipes and Drums, Warwick Valley VFW Post 4662 and Father Jack from St. Stephen the First Martyr Parish Warwick, along with Tony Donato for putting on absolutely amazing performances over the 2 day festival!
Vendor Village couldn't have been a better hit with all the artists, craft, food and merchant vendors, wayyyyy too many to list, but we thank you for providing some amazing displays, and food for all the patrons!
Greenwood Lake Elks Lodge No. 2067 & The Boy Scout Troop 121 Greenwood Lake, NY with their 30 plus volunteers setting up the Whiskey Pavilion, the axe throwing, slinging drinks behind the bar and just making the atmosphere a pleasure to be in!
The Village of Greenwood Lake Police Department for handling traffic and safety, the Greenwood Lake Parks & Rec Department for assisting with the setup and breakdown of the event covering over 185,000 square feet of Festival grounds, couldn't have done this without you! A huge thanks to all the immediate neighbors who attended for free and putting up with the road closures and noise for a week. Arthur Finnegan American Legion Post 1443 and the Greenwood Lake Fire Dept, as well as the GWL Elementary School for allowing parking and shuttles. A special thank you to mayor Jesse Dwyer and the Village of Greenwood Lake NY for allowing the festival to become something new to the community.

We encountered some unfortunate weather on day one, but everyone came together to make it happen! We are listening to everyone's thoughts and concerns, and are currently working on next year's festival with a new event date, certainly NOT on Memorial Day Weekend. With feedback and support from town residents and several folks in the Irish community, we plan on coming back with a new approach, and much more affordable admission prices!
