🎉 The Green Castle Community Labor Day Celebration is BACK for 2026! 🎉

Planning for the 2026 celebration has been happening since the end of our 2025 celebration, and we are so excited to finally begin sharing our plans with YOU! 🇺🇸

Our team has been hard at work preparing another unforgettable Labor Day weekend filled with community traditions, family fun, entertainment, food, activities, and so much more for all ages to enjoy.

This celebration means so much to our community, and we cannot wait to bring everyone together once again for another amazing year in Green Castle.

Over the weekend, we received some very exciting news! Our 2025 Carroll Bud Snyder Memorial Rodeo won Co-approved Rodeo of the Year at the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Assoc 2025 Finals on Saturday! This award is voted on by contestants and that makes it all the more special to us. Thank you to Bar H Rodeo for helping to bring an amazing experience for our contestants and spectators. We also have the best rodeo committee around and we want to give a shout out to Jeff Gray, Greg and Barb Snyder, Ben Bregman, Tad Dennis, and the countless others who work so hard to make our show the best in the state! The Green Castle Lions Club appreciates your continued support and we will see you in 2026! 💙💛

As we roll out appreciation posts, and highlights from our celebration, we cannot forget to mention Tanna and Marty Hamar for allowing us to utilize their field for rodeo contestant parking year after year!

Our rodeo continues to grow, nearing 300 contestants, and that can pose an issue with trailer parking and navigation. Their generosity every year has allowed us to better accommodate all of our wonderful cowboys and cowgirls who come to put on one heck of a show for us!

If you parked your trailer in their lot over labor day weekend, be sure to give them a big THANK YOU!

We brought our 🫧foam parties🫧 back for the third year, thanks to the City of Green Castle, Missouri Green Castle Community Coalition!

The kiddos enjoyed soaking up the suds and having a ball on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! As long as the littles keep enjoying it - we will keep bringing it back!

A huge THANK YOU goes out to our entire community for making this year's cake and pie auction a roaring success for our Green Castle Lions Club!

Over 25 baked goods were donated for the auction and over $2,000 was raised to support the construction of the new Green Castle Lions Club building! This means SO much to our club because this is not just a building to house our events, but it is also a gathering space for the entire community as well.

Our previous Lions Club Building held many memories for us all, and we are thrilled to be breaking ground soon on a new structure that will hold many new memories and traditions.

To everyone who donated items, to our very own Ladan Dejong for being our star auctioneer (who we are VERY proud of), Brandon McLagan Pro Rodeo Announcer for your assistance, and to everyone who showed up and supported us...

🚜 Participants of our 2025 Robert Clawson Memorial Pedal Pull showed grit and determination as they strived for those full pulls! This event is a Green Castle Labor Day staple, and we wouldn't have it any other way!
