Lynn Romenesko has made it her mission to spread smiles along the course — backpack loaded with candy, sometimes dressed in a show-stopping costume, always bringing the energy that makes this race so special.

We're so grateful for community members like Lynn who remind us that the Bellin Run is so much more than miles on a road. It's moments. It's people. It's joy.

Say hello to a Bellin Run Legend - Connie Meek! Connie was encouraged to run the first Bellin Run to receive her free ticket to the Helen Reddy concert that same night. While the concert may have been a big motivator, her experience at the race kept her coming back. Connie's most memorable was the year temperatures reached into the 90s and she ended up overheating. Thankfully, the Bellin Run medical staff were quick to care for her. After Connie ran her first 10 Bellin Run races, she knew she had to keep that streak going.

: George Kerwin was integral in launching the Bellin Run; however, he wasn't a participant until 1993 when Kay Mueller became race director. That year was the first of many races for our former race director and Bellin Health CEO.

: The Bellin Run team and Emplify Health by Bellin are no strangers to a packed schedule. In 1990, immediately following the race, Bellin Health held a "door opening" and ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate the new Bellin Psychiatric Center, an 87-bed freestanding treatment facility. Now Emplify Health Green Bay Behavioral Health Hospital, it was a major addition to supporting mental health in our area.

Meet a Bellin Run Legend - John Cumicek! John, along with a group of runners from Seymour, decided to join the first Bellin Run and he's been hooked since then. As the oldest , John continues to stay in shape to continue his streak alongside the other Legends. A he won't forget is that when a serious problem occurred at his work in 1998, he made sure he crossed the Bellin Run finish line before heading back (and solving the problem). Over the years he has been joined by friends, co-workers and family including his granddaughter, Ava. His claim to fame is being able to beat Frank Shorter.
