Dearest Cascadia NW community and friends! Michael Manahan here, I wanted to send out a personal message to officially announce that we will be taking a break this 2026 summer. This decision comes with great sadness as I feel we would all benefit from being together, dancing in the forest, yet, here we are. As you may know, we lost our beloved primary venue when negotiations fell apart as a baseline of truth and willingness to work together for the betterment of all could not be reached with the Darrington Bluegrass board. The last minute nature of their ability to produce a contract, and subsequent "vote" placed us in a very compromised position, and although we looked diligently for another option, everything felt rushed and simply unattainable. We are, however looking at a few amazing spaces for 2027 and are confident that we'll come back stronger and with a much more amicable venue to work with, so stay tuned for updates and announcements! It's difficult to not feel like we've let you our friends and community down, but I hope there is trust that we're doing our best with your security and satisfaction in mind. And yes , we are still pursuing our relationship with Summer Meltdown Festival ! In lieu of this years break, we encourage you to support our friends on Whidbey Island, and on Orcas Island. If we don't see you there, we look forward to seeing you at the Cascadia Winter Solstice Weekend in Fremont, Seattle, where we're already putting together an amazing weekend lineup.
