ne of the highest turnouts yet and be named one of Southeast Tourism Society’s top 20 events for September 2016. Unfortunately, the devastating August flooding forced cancellation of the 2016 festival. Organizers are excited to bring the festival back to Ascension Parish in 2017! The 2017 festival will again take place on the grounds of the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. We invite you to bring the entire family down to Ascension Parish September 22 – 23, and see why this year’s Ascension Hot Air Balloon Festival is the place to be this fall. Admission is $5.00 for adults, free for children 8 and under. NO Pets, Ice chests, Tents, Food or Beverage, Weapons or Illegal Substances are permitted on the festival grounds. Bags, backpacks, strollers and wagons may be subject to security checks for your safety.
