I want to start off by thanking the team that makes this happen. Scott Womack Sunshine Emery Stefan Prigmore. Your giving spirit, hard work and dedication to putting good into this world is inspiring for so many. It fills me with hope and love that y’all honor my big Brother’s legacy with this event. I am honored to work along side such fine folks for such a great event. I cannot thank the three of you enough. I love each of you dearly and look forward to our future adventures in music land.
We are also grateful for our host Lonestar Bar Backyard. We had a plenty of room to party, the service team was stellar, slinging great drinks all night and we were safe and sound while the storms roared outside.

In the video I recite a poem my Brother wrote shortly after Pickin Round the Campfire was shutdown due to the pandemic. The fire pit was an auction item at the MLR my wife and Aunt Marie made sure we came home with.

❤️🎶 Why We Do This — People Feeding People 🎶❤️

At the heart of the Moore Like Rodney Festival is something bigger than music.

We’re proud to support People Feeding People Inc., a Fort Worth-based nonprofit that has been showing up for our community in real, hands-on ways for years.

Every month, they host outreach events right here in and around Fort Worth — serving 100–200 people at a time with food, water, hygiene supplies, and basic essentials that so many of our neighbors are going without. It’s not just about meeting physical needs either — it’s about dignity, connection, and care for the whole person… mind, body, and soul.

And if you knew Rodney, you know exactly why this mattered to him.

Rodney Moore didn’t just believe in music — he believed in people. He believed in showing up, lending a hand, and building community wherever he could. Whether it was a campfire jam, an open mic, or an outreach event, he had a way of bringing folks together and making everyone feel seen.

His connection to People Feeding People was a natural extension of that spirit — music and service, side by side.

That’s what this festival is all about.

When you come out to Moore Like Rodney, you’re not just attending a show — you’re helping continue something that’s already making a difference.

We're so happy to have Abel Casillas and Squeezebox Bandits headlining the Moore Like Rodney Festival - Lonestar Bar and Backyard - Aledo, TX tomorrow night! They're gonna blast the roof off the place with their conjun-zyde-come-on-and-dance power at 11pm!! We'll see you there!!

The two folks not yelling about money here are Sunshine Emery and Guthrie Kennard, two folks Rodney Moore loved and appreciated very much. Sunshine will be kicking off the night at 8pm on April 25 in a special song-swap with Scott Womack Music and Stefan Prigmore . Following at 9 will be a set for the ages with Guthrie Kennard and Jack Barksdale ! We'll see you there!
