The 2024 Rabbit Fest in Copperas Cove this past weekend started with a thunderous boom on Thursday as storms shut everything down for the evening. So, starting Friday, the sun came out, the people came out, and we slowly began painting many happy faces. An Italian plumber and his Princess were neck in neck with the unicorns for design popularity. My personal favorite was a new octopus design (see photo). We also did plenty of henna tattoos, mostly $5 whale tales, hearts, and lotus flowers…though I neglected to take photos. The pace picked up as the day wore on and Saturday turned out to be a 15 hour day! There was a Sunday morning church service on the stage 😊😊😊 and our day was a bit more relaxed. I have included a photo of a baby with incredible hair, well, just because this kid had amazing hair. Lol God really blessed and challenged us, stretched our faith, and brought a couple of new friends, the vendors on either side of us, into our lives (in return the wind helped us add generous amounts of glitter, I mean, sparkle, to their products…maybe even their clothing and faces…probably even in their lunches…sigh. I am almost certain that if they had not fallen so in love with these two seasoned face painters, that “Nowhere near the Face Painter!” would be written in bold lettering on next years vendor app! lol)
