About Steele Magnolia Designs

Shanna Steele is a self-taught jewelry designer specializing in handwoven wearable works of art. Her beadwork has been published in beading magazines more than two dozen times over the span of a decade. She worked in the bead and jewelry supply industry as a designer and a purchasing/product manager from 2006 until 2014. In 2016, Shanna began selling her wares at arts/crafts festivals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area while still publishing her original designs and teaching classes locally. In 2018, Shanna was named Designer of the Year by Beadwork magazine, where an original never-before-seen project was featured in each issue for the entire year.

In 2019, one of Shanna’s lifelong dreams came true when her beadwork was accepted to Main Street Arts Festival in Fort Worth. There she went on to win the Emerging Artist Best of Show and the People’s Choice awards. She will be returning to the # 3 arts festival in the US in April of 2020.
