A huge shoutout to all the players who helped shape the first official games of K-Ball! Your energy, feedback, and creativity on the field made this launch something special. We learned so much from every play — and the sport is already evolving because of you.

As we head into winter, we’re actively looking for indoor locations to keep the game going. With Team K-Ball relocating to Denver, we’re excited about the new opportunities to build leagues, host trial sessions, and prepare for a Spring outdoor relaunch.

Thank you for being part of the beginning. The best part of this journey? We’re just getting started. ⚡

The first trial game of K-Ball was a success! 🎯

Players shared great feedback to help fine-tune the game:
1️⃣ A smaller, size 4 ball could improve grip and speed—making passes and shots at goal quicker and more precise.
2️⃣ Allowing attackers to position between the defenders (five yards back) and the scrimmage line would keep offensive players in play and ready for the ball, without encouraging cherry-picking.

Overall, the game’s flow, pace, and scoring opportunities worked incredibly well—offering plenty of ways to run, pass, and attack the goal.

💥 The future of sports innovation is here. Welcome to . Let's keep up the mommentum and get more players on the field next weekend.

⚡ K-Ball Field Positions: Where Strategy Meets Speed

Every role in K-Ball has a purpose — built for movement, communication, and precision. Here’s how each position shapes the game:

🏃‍♂️ Forwards (Left, Center, Right)
The attacking line. Fast, aggressive, and always pressing the defense. Forwards are responsible for finishing plays — using quick passes, creative runs, and well-timed throws or kicks inside the scoring zones.

🎯 Center
The link between offense and defense. The center sets tempo, directs traffic, and decides when to push or reset. Think of them as the quarterback or playmaker — the engine that drives the team’s rhythm.

🛡️ Backs (Left, Center, Right)
The defensive core. Backs anticipate movement, control spacing, and shut down attacks before they reach the scoring zone. They also initiate counterplays, turning defense into offense with sharp transitions.

🧤 Goalie
The last line of defense — and often the loudest communicator. The goalie guards the goal box, manages defensive positioning, and reads incoming kicks and throws.

Together, these eight positions create the balance that defines K-Ball — power up front, control in the middle, and structure at the back. Every player’s movement matters. Every role fuels the flow. ⚡

We’ve been experimenting with throw and kick line distances to fine-tune gameplay balance. The yellow line (9 yards) marks the throw zone, while the blue line (12 yards) defines the kick zone.

Only the goalie can defend inside the yellow area. Defenders can enter behind the blue line but must stay clear of the yellow zone. These small adjustments make a big difference — shaping how attacks develop and how defenders react once the ball’s in play.

Every field test brings us closer to perfecting the flow of K-Ball. ⚡

🏈 K-Ball Strategy Talk: The 5-Yard Rule

Every rule in K-Ball is designed to keep the game fast, fair, and thrilling — and one of the most important is the 5-yard retreat rule.

When a player is tackled or touched, both teams reset: defenders move back 5 yards, and attackers retreat behind the breakdown. It keeps play structured, prevents “cherry-picking,” and turns every restart into a moment of strategy.

But here’s the question we’re exploring on the field 👇
Should one attacking player — a “link” — be allowed to stay forward for a quick strike once play restarts? Could that make the game even faster, or would it break the balance?

We’re testing it now. What do you think — keep the full retreat, or let one attacker stay up? ⚡

Scoring Goals 🥅
🟦 The A Line (6m from the goal)

The A line is the inner semi-circle, stretching 6 meters out from the goal.

It creates a restricted scoring zone:

Players can throw from outside or on the A line to score (worth 1 point).

Defensive positioning is critical here, since it’s the closest range for attackers.

Think of it as the “short-range attack zone”, where plays get fast and physical.

🔴 The B Line (10m from the goal)

The B line is the outer semi-circle, stretching 10 meters out from the goal.

It defines where kick attempts must be taken from:

To earn 2 points, players must kick the ball from on or behind the B line.

The plant foot must stay behind or on the line for the goal to count (though the striking foot can cross in motion).

This makes B line kicks higher-risk, higher-reward — like a “3-point shot” in basketball.

⚖️ Why They Matter

Together, the A and B lines shape game strategy:

From the A line → safer throws for 1 point.

From the B line → powerful kicks for 2 points.

Defenses adjust their shape based on which line attackers are pressing toward.

It also gives fans an easy way to track scoring dynamics: close throw vs. long kick.

What kind of ball is used to play K-Ball?
It is actually an Aussie Rules football. It is perfect for K-Ball as it is light, easy to grip for an overhand throw, comes off the boot nicely for the kicks and smaller than a rugby ball. Plus it's red which is a fast color. 👊
