Tack så mycket for giving me the space at your incredibly beautiful brewery to carve the dragon that will hold some very strong runes, not to mention all the ale to lighten my work load. Will be back for more!

It is not uncommon to find rune stones built into medieval churches in Sweden. This particular one can be seen at Täby church, south of Örebro. The inscription is unfortunately incomplete, but what remains of it reads:

(ORIGINAL) “Guðlaug lét reisa steina at Holma, son sinn, ok at s*k sjalfa. Hann dó á Langbarðalandi. "

(TRANSLATION) ”Gudlög had this stone raised after Holma, his son, and himself. He died in Langbardaland”

Langbardaland was the Norse name for what today is Italy, possibly the specific region of Lombardia.

This guy has been my hero for many years

Our friend Kalle Dahlberg in action. Not only is he a runestone expert (we have more than 3000 runestones here in Sweden), but also a master at carving runestones with ancient, historical methods.
