We are 24 hours away from Step-off of the 2026 Shriners 5k presented by WVU Medicine and City of Pleasant Valley!

We are excited to welcome our runners and walkers for a great event. Checkin opens at 7:30am with stepoff at 9:00am, so come ready for a fun morning to support a great cause!

We are incredibly thankful to those who have given their time and energy as well as those amazing sponsors for the event.

We literally could not do it without each and every person who makes it possible!

There’s still time for a last minute registration if you’re on the fence. Remember, the virtual option is available!

This is a fun one! The Dude Network Podcast appeared at the WVU Football tailgate against Coastal Carolina. We met with the guys and they graciously donated DudeWipes for all our participants to wipe off after a tough run!

🏃‍♂️ Race Director Spotlight: Dustin Blankenship

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Dustin Blankenship, Race Director for the Shriners 5K happening October 3rd, 2026! 🎉

Dustin’s connection to the Shriners goes far beyond putting on a race. As a Shriner since 2011, he has witnessed firsthand the incredible impact Shriners Children’s has on children and their families—including families right here in our Fairmont community. ❤️

After taking up running a few years ago to get healthier, Dustin found a second community in running and is now combining his love of the sport with a cause that means so much to him.

“This organization has my heart, and I care deeply about the kids we serve.”
