Attention Olney Richland County Fair Fans….

Today we received the 2025 Contract for the Richland County Fair in Olney to be held July 18-26, 2025. To be honest, we were saddened and shocked to read that we would not be able to serve anything related to Corn Dogs, Funnel Cakes, Elephant Ears, or any derivatives of said items.

Since 2009, we have been known for our HandDipped Ball Park All Beef Corn Dogs, over 40 Funnel Cake choices including our Pumpkin Funnel Cake and Banana Pudding Funnel Cake, our large list of deep fried sweets battered in funnel cake batter, funnel cake fries, and our Elephant Ears. If we remove all of that off our menu at the request of the contract, it would not be feasible for us to attend the Richland County Fair.

We had the best time last year at Richland County Fair serving our yummy fair foods at reasonable prices for families. We understand to have a carnival, sometimes fair boards have to agree to the requests of the carnival company’s requests like this, however it ultimately hurts the local food vendors, hurts the families on budgets who want to support the fair, and it allows a company (the carnival) to monopolize on these items by charging horrendous prices that are unaffordable for families.

Last year we were able to serve our full menu and had no restrictions of what we could sell and it was the same Swyear Amusements. They obviously feel like we hurt their food sales, so they have made this new rule which elimiates any of their competition. We greatly promoted their amusement company last year and brought families from a ten county radius to the fair to patronize their rides. A fair takes everyone working together to be successful.

There are at least 3-4 other local vendors from last year at the Richland County Fair who sell primarily corn dogs and funnel cakes—-that are probably facing this same disappointment we are.

With that said, we hope in the future the contract changes and we can get back to Richland County Fair to serve our wonderful customers who were anxiously waiting for this year to see us at the fair!

We are now open July 18-26, 2025 if anyone has a suggestion of any area fair or festival you would like to suggest.

Nothing makes us more excited for summer than seeing the sunshine today and the Richland County Fair schedule for this year’s fair! We are counting down the days until we are able to serve our fair food there again this year! 🙌🏻

We have our trailer cleaned and winterized for the frigid winter. ❄️ ☃️🌨️

We just want to thank everyone who visited us during 2024 at the fairs and festivals we attended! We really enjoyed fryin’ and shakin’ for you all! Thank you to all of the county fair boards, volunteers, and organizers of each event that we attended. We appreciate you all so much for the hard work and time it takes for a successful event. We thank our family for the help with our little girls while we worked in the wagon. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who worked so hard in the wagon with us. It was a blast. We look forward to seeing you all in 2025 when we kickoff our season with the summer fairs—- Wayne County Fair, Edwards County Fair, and Richland County Fair!

Thank you so much to the Carmi Kiwanis for hosting Carmi Corn Days and inviting us to be a food vendor. You had wonderful entertainment and the carnival was great. We want to thank all of our customers who purchased food and drinks. It is a joy to cook for you all and see you year after year. Our first Carmi Corn Days was way back in 2009!

Thank you Halle, Mya, and Sawyer for working along side of Corey and I. We couldn’t do it without you three and you rocked it. 💜

Lastly, to the Fa*******er in the green car who pulled up in Carmi and stole our power cords as we were trying to pack up… we don’t thank you, but you didn’t stop us…. We have extra cords and we just arrived in Fairfield at Save-A-Lot for our Fair Food Sunday event! 🙌🏻 We will open at 10:30am!
