Okay for one, how did we get SO lucky with the weather?
It was supposed to be rainy all day long, I had been watching it since monday, FREAKING OUT, and then day of, the sun is out, it was hot, not too windy, and AFTER all the vendors got packed up, immediate downpour, and cold.
I don't know how or who did their magic for yesterday to be perfect, but WOW!
This is the 2nd markers market in Evansville, first time on main street, and it BLEW my mind.
It was an amazing event, an amazing turn out, vendors were happy, people were happy, it was a little rocky with vehicals parked but I had amazing people from the chamber and storefronts helping with all the bumps!!
Putting on an event like this has a lot of little details happening in the background for months on end, I partnered up with the Evansville Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism for this one (they were running their fall fest tickets, and some at the same time) while I had the market, and I am blessed to have had that help.
Between shutting down the road, getting vehicals out of the way, helping me set up booth spaces the night prior for nearly an hour and a half, and getting music downtown (also thanks Evansville Underground Music as well, YAY), and probably more that I'm not even remembering, Thank you.
I love doing markets, I loved being a vendor for the past 6 years of my life.
I miss doing it more often, but since getting the storefront it's hard to do, doing markets like this is kind of a sweet spot for me, I get to be at a market and have my shop, AND BUILD EVANSVILLE into a place I want to be!!
The people, the vendors, the helpers, honestly everyone, Thank you.
Thank you for last night, thank you for continuing to support this journey.
I cannot wait to see what the next event brings, I got big ideas and big plans already stacking up in this brain.
