Happy Belated Birthday to the legendary Mary Beth Evans! I’m a little late, but I blame it on Steve 'Patch' Johnson dragging me on a mission. 😉 I hope your day was filled with as much love as Kayla has for her family (and hopefully less drama!). Today, we honor the wedding anniversary of our forever first television grandparents, Tom and Alice Horton two high school sweethearts who were originally married in 1930, and who came to represent the very heart of home, family, faith, and enduring love.

In a world that feels so uncertain, with so much heaviness, division, and fear all around us, it is hard to imagine that even back then, the world was facing wars, heartbreak, and uneasy times too. And yet, through it all, love like Tom and Alice’s reminded people that goodness, decency, and devotion still mattered. In many ways, that is why their love story still reaches so deeply into our hearts today.

For so many, Tom and Alice Horton were not just characters on a screen they were family. For some, they were the only grandparents they felt they had. They brought comfort, stability, wisdom, and that warm feeling of knowing that no matter how troubled the world became, there was still a place where love lived. A place where family gathered. A place that felt safe.

I was blessed to have my own remarkable grandparents and great-grandmother my Great Granny Wire, Nanna Virginia, Grandpa James Ronald and yet millions of us was also blessed with Grandpa and Grandma Horton, because the beautiful grandmothers in my family and millions others fell in love with the Hortons in the fall of November 1965, And from that moment on, they became part of our family too.

So today, with love in our hearts and memories that still shine brightly, let us remember and celebrate Tom and Alice Horton a love story for the ages, a marriage built on faith and strength, and the kind of television grandparents this world truly needed then and still needs now.

Happy Anniversary to the original television sweethearts, the beloved foundation of Days gone by, and the forever grandparents of daytime television.�

✨A Very Special Birthday Week From My Heart to Salem✨

This week is extra meaningful to me because it holds two birthdays that deserve to be celebrated loud and proud.

💐 Happy Birthday to my Mom, Kristina Feb 22💐
Mom… we’ve had difficult times, but at the end of the day I have grown, and I need you to hear this clearly

I love you, and I’m here to say thank you for being my mother ! For your birrhday is in February so that’s exactly why I wear amethyst, because it reminds me of you!

Thank you for being the best you could with your ability, while having to deal with me, your little sister at home Melinda,and our great grandmother Ada while having me along Little Tony, Matthew, and Aunt Melinda at 15, having Ariel You and Nanna had a LOT on your plate.

For many years it was always mother and daughter, with the sons and grandsons and little ariel right there with you and I just want to say thank you for being the mother you were during a time when the only enjoyment in life for either one of you (and I mean this with love) back in 1988 to 1994 just so happened to be us children, country music, and Days of Our Lives!

So yes THANK YOU for being stubborn and stern with us, because it shaped me into the gentleman’s gentleman I am today prim and proper, kind, with manners!

Happy Birthday, Mom. I love you. And today is YOUR day. 🖤

Some love stories never age… but the photos sometimes do.

This vintage Doug & Julie photo was in rough shape scratches, fading, and lots of wear from time. I carefully restored it to keep the moment authentic while making it look clean, crisp, and worthy of the legacy they represent.

I had the honor of restoring this beautiful vintage photo and bringing it back to life. The original was heavily worn with scratches, fading, and age marks but with patience and love, I was able to clean it up, sharpen the details, and bring the color and warmth back where it belongs.

Doug & Julie are pure “Days of Our Lives” magic, and it means a lot to me to help preserve these memories for the fans who cherish them as much as I do.

🍋🎀 Good morning Salem mates Dottie’s Delights by Notch Nanna’s is back at it again and y’all, I’m CONFUSED in the best way. 😂

Are these Lemon Bow Tie cookies or are they Hourglass cookies?

One thing I do know They’re zesty, buttery, sweet, and depending on how you look at ‘em they’re either dressed up for a tea party at Alices or reminding me I should’ve started my diet last week. By the way these cookies got me acting like a DiMera smiling sweet, but secretly stealing the whole tray. So bow tie or hourglass, I don’t know but I do know I’m one cookie away from pulling a DiMera plot though! 😭🤣🍋 😂🍋

They built a home on steady land.

Tom’s quiet strength, Alice’s heart!
Two soulmates never far apart!
With every look, with every smile!
They made the hard days feel worthwhile!

Today I’m sharing memories my dear ones!
In wearable pieces full of cheer!
Some are rare, some one of a kind!
Like love that’s faithful, warm, and kind!

Two broken paths crossed in Salem’s light,
A man with shadows, a woman with sight.
One scarred by the world, one steady and kind,
Fate stitched their hearts, though time was unkind.

He wore his pain like a second skin,
She saw the good that lived within.
Where others turned away or ran,
Kayla stayed, and Patch became a man.

Through storms of loss and years apart,
They found their way back heart to heart.
Love tested hard, yet still it stayed,
Stronger for every price it paid.

A pirate’s soul, a healer’s grace,
Two stubborn hearts time couldn’t erase.
In every goodbye, in every return,
Their love is the lesson Salem learns.

Not perfect real. Not loud yet true.

Today, we light a quiet candle for Francis Reid,
our beloved Alice Horton the soul of Salem, the keeper of memories, the warmth that never faded.

With her stood Macdonald Carey, our Tom Horton steady, devoted, eternal. Together they taught us that love is patient, that family is chosen and cherished, and that home is built with kindness.

Though the years have passed, their voices still echo in Horton Town Square, their love still lives in every tradition, every ornament, every heart they touched.

Gone from sight, never from story.
Forever Alice. Forever Tom.
