The Main Street Fair is a true community collaboration! The event is organized by a coalition of local organizations, working together to create a meaningful and memorable day for all our neighbors. Today we’re featuring Hive Center for the Book Arts, located at 840 Custer Ave. This non-profit is dedicated to building community through the five components of the book and literary arts: paper making, printmaking, bookbinding, writing and reading. While they are based in Evanston, they offer workshops, exhibitions, programs and events all over the North Shore, Chicago, and online. Be sure to stop by their storefront for an awesome used book sale- and other fun activities- during the Main Street Fair on June 27!

The Main Street Fair is a true community collaboration! The event is organized by a coalition of local organizations, working together to create a meaningful and memorable day for all our neighbors. Today we’re featuring Shorefront Legacy Center, an Evanston-based nonprofit archival institution dedicated to preserving and illuminating Black history on the North Shore. They aim to create a dynamic space for reflection and growth through their three core principles: Collect, Preserve, & Educate. Visit Shorefront’s booth at the Main Street Fair on June 27 to learn more about the important work they do in our community!

As a community-focused event, the Main Street Fair features dozens of local nonprofits who do important work in Evanston and beyond. Young, Black & Lit. is a 501(c)(3) that provides children’s books featuring Black characters to youth at no cost to the youth or the families. Stop by their booth on June 27, and check out all the other incredible local organizations making a difference in the community!

The Main Street Fair is a true community collaboration! The event is organized by a coalition of local Evanston non-profits and organizations, working together to create a meaningful and memorable day for all our neighbors. Today we’re featuring Evanston Made , a 501(c)3 arts organization that promotes local art and artists, and facilitates engagement with the creative community across Evanston. They also support the work and career growth of members through programs, opportunities and professional development. Shop Evanston Made, a new storefront at 822 Dempster St with member art for sale, is holding their grand opening on Thursday, May 14 from 5-8pm- stop by to support local artists and learn more about the important work Evanston Made does in our community!
