Applications are now open for the 2027 May Day Faerie Festival!

Whether you craft mystical treasures, create delectable delights, hoping to share your talents on stage, or bring your own special magic to the festival, this is your invitation to join our enchanted community where artists, dreamers, and free spirits gather to create memories that sparkle long after the festival ends.

Calling All Fae Folk and Magical Beings! ✨🧚

It's time to prepare your wings and dust off your wands for the 2027 May Day Faerie Festival! Spoutwood Farm, in partnership with Baltimore County Recreation & Parks, invites you to gather together with us on May 1st and 2nd, 2027 at Rocky Point Park! This year's enchanting theme is "Sunshine & Shadows," a celebration of the age-old truth that there is no light without dark — two forces forever dancing together, each giving the other its meaning.

Join us as we gleefully gather to dance, make merry, and call out hearty "Kubiandos!" to one another once again at our picturesque home at Rocky Point. The festival will feature your favorite craft vendors, live music, dancing, bubbles, magicians, storytellers, & so many sunlit and shadow-kissed wonders along the way. Activities for the young and the eternally young-at-heart alike promise to make this event magical for all ages.

The Greenman, Lady Lucy, and our fae-mily can hardly wait to welcome you into our world where sunshine and shadow walk hand in hand. So get ready to don your most fanciful fae fashion, spread your wings, and let your imagination wander the space between the two.

To Our Fellow Weavers of Magic...

While our hearts are still echoing with the music of the weekend, we would like to send a massive thank you to the visionary vendors, the mesmerizing performers, our tireless volunteers, our bedrock staff, and—most of all—our enchanting patrons who transformed the May Day Faerie Festival into a living masterpiece.

While the festival gates have closed, the portal remains open within each of you. As we tuck this chapter away until we meet again, we entrust the spark of the Fae to your keeping.

Carry the light forward by:

Dancing as if the earth itself is breathing beneath your feet.

Singing with the boldness of the wind, letting your true voice ring out.

Laughing until the world feels light again, anchored by the joy we shared.

Cherish the kinships forged in the dust and the sunlight—this fae-mily is bound by more than just a weekend; we are bound by wonder.

Take the awe you felt and the wild creativity you discovered here and use them as your compass. Find the extraordinary in the ordinary, defend your freedom fiercely, and never let your imagination grow quiet.

The dancers weave, their threads are wound, some gold, some red, some darkest brown. Their cords (our lives) spun to the sound of Mother Earth changing her gown. Some gold, some red, some darkest brown; the ribbons pull us round and round as Mother Earth changes her gown. Fine patterns form, colors compound. The ribbon pulls round and round while time keeps counting swiftly down. Fine patterns form, colors compound; life's tapestry can then be found. While time keeps counting swiftly down, the dancers weave, their threads are wound. Some gold, some red, some darkest brown, in Mother Earth's most changing gown. Happy May Day, we can’t wait to celebrate with you this weekend.

We’re honored to welcome Chesapeake Search Dogs to the May Day Faerie Festival May 2–3!

This incredible all-volunteer nonprofit is dedicated to one powerful mission: helping bring loved ones home. Their highly trained canine search teams are on call 24/7/365, supporting law enforcement, fire services, and emergency agencies—at no cost—across the Chesapeake Bay and Southern Pennsylvania region.

With their dogs’ amazing sense of smell and a deep love for the work, these teams respond when it matters most—searching for lost children, vulnerable individuals, missing hikers, and more. Their commitment, training, and heart make them truly priceless resources in times of crisis.

Stop by their exhibitor space during the festival to learn more about their life-saving work, meet some of these remarkable teams, and discover how you can support their mission.
