The EPACBA is a network of professional licensed captains operating on the Pennsylvania waters of Lake Erie to promote environmental advocacy, education and awareness of today’s fisheries issues. By working closely with the PAF&BC and other Lake Erie fishery stakeholders, the EPACBA will lend a helping hand from a professional standpoint that will be in the best interests of ALL Lake Erie boaters

Thank you to Ryan Raines, owner of Lake Effect 3D, for being a part of the Erie PA Charter Boat Association Walleye School & Tackle Expo. Ryan’s booth was packed with some impressive gear that really caught people’s attention throughout the event.

3D printing technology has come a long way, and Ryan is putting it to great use with some outstanding products for anglers. From planer board lights and custom logo rulers to bait boxes and other innovative fishing accessories, Lake Effect 3D continues to bring creative and practical tools to the fishing community.

Big thanks to Jake from Iron Decoy for being part of this year’s Walleye School & Tackle Expo. With so many different lures, techniques, and styles of fishing out there today, it’s always interesting to see someone develop something new that anglers can add to their arsenal.

Talking with Jake throughout the day, it was easy to see the time and effort he’s put into developing the Iron Decoy. His passion for the sport really shows, and you can tell he truly cares about the product he created and the anglers who use it.

“Tougher than Rocks.” That’s more than just a saying for Mike’s Walleye Rigs—it’s exactly what his custom-painted tackle is. Some of the toughest, best-looking paint jobs in the business, and his display at Walleye School and the Tackle Expo is always a highlight.

But what really makes Mike stand out is the person behind the booth. Whether he’s teaching at Walleye School, talking fishing at his display, chatting at the gas station or camp, Mike is always willing to share his knowledge and help others become better walleye anglers.

The Erie Pa Charter Boat Association would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported this year’s Walleye School & Tackle Expo.

It was an incredible event, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the many people who helped make it happen. From the companies that generously donated door prizes, to the volunteers who helped set up, organize, and clean up after the event — your support made the day a big success.

We are extremely grateful for the fishing community that continues to support events like this and help grow the sport.

Over the next couple weeks, we’ll be highlighting and individually thanking the sponsors, businesses, and supporters who contributed to this event.
