La RAZA Car Show

Money raised from this year's car show will be used to bring about a festival for the children of the RGV. Music, food, and anything else that is possible.

La Raza Carshow is an even that UTPA fraternity Phi Iota Alpha hosts in order to help out the community. Phi Iota Alpha hosts this event every year in order to raise money and use it for a good cause. This is a great opportunity for people who are looking to show off their trucks and to compete for trophies for their collection. The event is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend at the UTPA parking lot C.

This annual event highlighted the 'La Raza' culture of the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) community through the showcase of vehicles and a gathering environment for families and friends. We had competitors from different parts of the state and vehicles of different ages and styles. This event was proudly sponsored by Hacienda Ford, Legends Edinburg, and Texas National Bank and supported by Kappa Delta Chi Alpha Beta, Operation Smile Club at UTRGV, RGV Gammas, and Sigma Lambda Beta - Omega Alpha Chapter at RGV. The Beta Lambda Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. would like to give a shoutout to you all for coming out and enjoying our event. Feel free to use your pictures. Stay tuned for next year!

After this past car show, Phi Iota Alpha invites YOU to another one of our signature events, the 4th Annual "Bellezas del Mundo" Beauty Pageant! This event is focused on women empowerment within the university. $5.00 pre-sale tickets are only available through the undergraduate chapter and door tickets will be $8.00. Theater seats are limited.

UTRGV Phiotas' "La Raza Car Show" is aimed to highlight the culture of the Rio Grande Valley, Texas through the car show and. This signature of the Beta Lambda Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is catered to showcase the 'raza' identity of the borderland community. Special thanks to our volunteers, Kappa Delta Chi Alpha Beta UTRGV and Campus Programming Board, and the organizations - Fuerza Latina Association UTRGV and UTRGV Gammas.
