TH•FM is pleased to announce David Palmer as Interim Executive Director. David brings extensive experience as both a performer and arts executive, and joins TH•FM with a forward-looking vision for its future, including enhanced off-season programming and expanded educational and community outreach initiatives.

Pianist David Palmer has performed throughout the United States, Europe and South America since the
early 1990’s, both as soloist and chamber musician.Palmer is the founder of Chamber Music Amarillo, celebrating its 29th year and now a part of the
Amarillo Symphony. He served as founder and Artistic Director of the Quartz Mountain Music Festival
in Oklahoma from 2006-2011 and was Artistic Director of the Lake City Arts Chamber Music Series
from 2014-2024. David gained extensive knowledge on managing and performing in the musical arts
both on and off stage, working with such artists and executive personnel as Pepe Romero, Robert
McDuffie, Michelle Kim, Romero Guitar Quartet, the Arianna String Quartet, Heidi Grant Murphy, David
Hyslop, Jack Fishman, George Jackson and others. David plays in a violin and piano duo with longtime
friend and collaborator, violinist Annie Chalex Boyle. Recent performances include, Texas, Oklahoma,
NY and in the spring of 2026, they performed and taught in Xalapa, Mexico for 10 days working with the
students and faculty at the Instituto Superior de Musica del Estado de Veracruz. They are in the final
stages of completing a recording project for the Centaur label, featuring the works of Ravel for violin and
piano. After founding Chamber Music Amarillo 29 years ago, Palmer recently stepped down as Artistic
Director and now resides in the Austin area with his wife, Michelle. David has recently been named
Interim Executive Director of The Hamptons Festival of Music.
