What’s your take? Is late October okay for your Christmas minis? 🌲

I feel like I’m FINALLY getting a chance to slow down and start thinking about Christmas minis! 🎄❤️

Since mid-August, I’ve been photographing schools almost every single week, and I still have one more to go! It’s been an incredibly busy season, and I’m so thankful for all the schools and families who have trusted me with their photos this year!

Now that I’m finally getting a chance to sit down and plan for the holidays, I wanted to get some opinions!

I know October and November are both busy months for everyone. I’ll be traveling in November for my grandmother’s birthday, and Thanksgiving week is already filling up with family sessions.

So I’m tossing around the idea of offering Christmas minis in late October this year!

I’ve been playing around with ideas for this year’s setup, and I’m loving this one! 😍

Before the weddings, parties and string lights… this property had a whole other life. 👀

Long before it became Oak & Stone, this land was part of a historic Texas stagecoach stop, with a rock livery and other buildings once standing across the property.

The stone barn you see today is the old Live Oak Barn with 1850 carved directly into its stone.

And according to the history passed down with the property, the area where our sunken fire pit sits today was once the site of the main house, while the little cabin on the property was the hired hands’ house.

Buildings have changed. Generations have passed. But almost two centuries later, people are still gathering here.

We think that’s pretty special. 🤎
