Wow 🤯 what an incredible day at the 13th Annual Stark County Firemen’s Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️🔥

Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, we raised $30,225 for EACH of our five rural volunteer fire departments!

That kind of impact doesn’t just happen. It takes volunteers giving their time, sponsors stepping up in a big way, attendees who show up year after year, and the unwavering support of our fire families. Every bowl of chili served helped provide critical funding for new equipment and updated gear that keeps our firefighters safe and prepared.

We are beyond grateful for this community. Stark County truly shows up for its volunteers. ❤️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in what we do and standing behind rural fire protection.

We’re already looking forward to next year… same great cause, same great community, and of course, some amazing chili! 🔥🌶️

The 2026 Stark County Fireman’s Chili Cook-Off was an incredible success — and it’s all thanks to YOU!

We want to give a huge heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors, everyone who donated auction items, our chili booth participants, every volunteer who stepped up, our dedicated chili judges, and every single community member who showed up to support our local fire departments. Your generosity, time, and enthusiasm make this event what it is.

A very special shout out goes to the Astoria Hotel & Event Center for hosting us year after year. You are truly part of the Stark County Fire family. Thank you for always being so welcoming, so flexible, and so unbelievably accommodating. We could not ask for a better partner.

This event takes a village and countless hours of work for a few hours of fun — and every act of kindness, every donation, and every bit of help matters. Everything raised at this event is split between the South Heart Fire Department, Dickinson Rural Fire Department, Gladstone Fire Department, Taylor Fire Department, and Richardton Fire Department to help purchase new gear and equipment that keeps our communities safe.

Happy 65th anniversary to Braun Distributing! Also, a huge thank you to them for donating all of our bowls, spoons, napkins and wristbands to help get that delicious chili in your bellies! We really appreciate everything they do for us throughout the year from this to candy for the parades to all the hep we get with Gladstone’s fireworks show!
