🎗Will you join us in sending all our positive energy out for these young warriors today?

Both James and Nate are awaiting very important scan results.

💛 Nate has been on a new chemo regimen in his fight against relapsed Neuroblastoma and a PET scan done yesterday will tell them if the treatment has been effective. The hope is that the cancer has shrunk enough for surgical intervention, which will likely be followed by an out-of-state trial and radiation.

💛James has been finished with his most recent rounds of radiation for 9 months now, and a MRI from today will tell them if the tumor on his brain remains stable.

Neither of these warriors are on an easy or clear path in the current fight for their lives, and this is why we will never stop fighting for better options for kids like Nate and James. Thank you for your support of this mission!

🎃🎗 Check it out! The 2nd Annual Pick for a Cure charity pumpkin patch in Milan, IL raised $5,128 for Unravel Iowa this year!! How amazing is that?! 🎃🎗

💜 Pick for a Cure was inspired by our sweet warrior friend Olivia, and all of the warriors like her, who have to fight to get the chance to grow up.

We are feeling so thankful to Olivia's aunt and uncle (Angela & Kris) and all of their pumpkin patch helpers, for helping us spread awareness and raise funds for pediatric cancer research. The project required many hours of hard work and dedication over several months. What an inspiring example of choosing not to just be sorry, but to be truly active in the fight against childhood cancer!!

💜 We continue to be so grateful to Will & Christie Lynch, who have been putting this event on since 2010 as a way to do something about the devastation that cancer causes to local families. They dedicate so much time and energy into this day every year, and so we thought we would share a little about the history of the event.

In the face of receiving the very sudden and heartbreaking news that Christie Lynch's mother (Mary) had been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, Will saw the rising costs that would be accruing for his in-laws and decided to put on the 1st Putt Your Cancer Off tournament in hopes of off-setting those expenses for them. He knew that they would be fighting hard emotional and physical battles, and wanted them to be able to focus on Mary and not on the expenses. That first year was planned and carried out in less than a month, and was successful in part because of the amazing community that rallied around them in support.

Sadly, Mary passed away in January of 2011, but the Lynchs decided that they would continue the event in her honor and to help other local families with expenses brought on by cancer diagnoses. The next several years supported local adults fighting cancer, but that changed when the Lynchs learned about a 3 year-old in daycare with one of their sons who had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of childhood cancer.

With a new awareness about childhood cancer, the Lynchs decided to focus their support on families with affected children. In the beginning, they hadn't set out to cure cancer, but now that is what they help us fight to do. They have dedicated the last 6 years of Putt Your Cancer Off to Unravel Iowa, and helped fund countless hours in labs for researchers who are trying to help bring less toxic and more effective options for our children. Their dedication to change is truly inspirational.

We love seeing this community come together in support of the Lynchs and of Unravel Iowa, and are looking forward to another fantastic year on the course! We hope you’ll join us!

🎗Our brave friend Colin could use our support right now.

We shared with you several weeks ago about 9 year-old Colin, who is in the middle of intense treatment for T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is currently in the thick of the absolutely grueling process of receiving a bone marrow transplant. It's hard to even explain how difficult this process is on these young warriors. What their bodies are put through is unlike anything most people can imagine, and it can be traumatic for the whole family.

Colin has completed the toxic high dose chemotherapy involved in this process, and three days ago he received his transplant cells from his amazing superhero brother, Nolan. ❤️🥰

Now his family is left waiting and hoping that those cells are accepted and that Colin's body can begin to heal. Yesterday brought the beginning of the painful sores that often run from mouth through GI tract, and Colin was started on a drip of strong pain medication. The next 7-10 days are going to be some of the hardest and most important for this young fighter.
