It is with extremely heavy heart I have to post this. Tonight the world will lost one of the most creative people I've ever had the privilege of knowing and working with. Tanglwyst de Holloway (Tonya Adolfson) passed away this evening after an ongoing battle with cancer. She was one of the first people I met in the convention industry and has been family to me for 20+ years. She's one of the founders of the organization that became DarknessCon and put in countless hours of her life to make the event what it is today. It truly will never be the same without her but I'm grateful for every minute I got to spend with her over the years.

As DarknessCon: Denver comes to a close and the echoes of an unforgettable weekend fade away, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of the 709 paid attendees, as well as the countless community ticket holders who joined us for this incredible event.

We are thrilled to share that the Nosferatu Vampire Ball was a resounding success, completely selling out! A huge thank you to the phenomenal performers who made the evening truly unforgettable and brought an electrifying energy that captivated everyone.

A special shoutout also goes to our panelists, special guests, vendors, artists, volunteers, and dedicated staff—your hard work and passion brought The Scare Before Christmas to life in ways we’ll never forget.

Keep your eyes peeled for announcements about next year’s dates, theme, and exciting updates. Until then, we wish you all a joyful holiday season. See you in the Darkness soon!
