**THANK YOU, Denton! 🎭✨**

Last night’s Footlight Fundraising performance of *Life’s Lost & Found* by The Trammell Group was such a fun night at the historic Woman’s Club Building. We had a full house and lots of laughs!

Thank you to:
💛 **Donna Trammell and The Trammell Group** for a wonderful show, and for choosing City Fed as one of this year’s beneficiaries
💛 **Everyone who bought a ticket or filled a table.** You showed up and it shows!
💛 **Osteria Il Muro** for the $200 gift card for our raffle, and to everyone who bought raffle tickets
💛 **Our volunteers and club members** who set up, served, decorated, and cleaned up

Every dollar raised goes toward the care and upkeep of the Woman’s Club Building, so it can keep hosting nights like this for years to come. 🏛️

The Footlight series runs through Friday, so there’s still time to catch a show!

Coming soon to KERA PBS.

After screening to two sold-out audiences at the 2026 Denton Black Film Festival, Quakertown, USA will air on KERA's Frame of Mind at 10:00 PM on Juneteenth.

The documentary explores the story of Denton's historic Black community of Quakertown and the lasting impact of its displacement. Through historical records, community voices, and lived memory, the film examines how prosperity, race, and power converged in Denton—and how the legacy of Quakertown continues to shape conversations about belonging, progress, and justice today.

While rooted in Denton, this is not simply a local story. Quakertown's experience reflects a broader history repeated in communities across America, where thriving Black neighborhoods were disrupted, displaced, or erased. The story of Quakertown helps us better understand both our local history and a larger American story.
DBFF is proud to have served as Executive Producer alongside filmmakers King Hollis and Lindell Singleton.
