Last week I had the awesome opportunity to attend McPeak's Be A Champ Show Cattle & Lamb Camp. It was rainy and muddy and a ton of work, but I had a great time, learned a lot, improved my showmanship skills (placed in the Top 9 for my group), and remembered what it is like to truly have a show team and partners to achieve goals. I wish I had the chance to go sooner but I can’t wait to go back next summer! Thanks to Coach McPeak, Ms. Veda, Clint and Kyle, and all of the staff for working so hard and pushing us to never quit. We had kids from 16 different states at camp, 6 in my group alone. So awesome!

What a way to start the summer! Texas Hereford State Show is always a good time and this year was no different. This year was a western theme which was fun. Seraphina did well in her first real show and I’m lookin forward to building her out for the future.

I competed in both Team Fitting and Quiz Bowl and had lots of success! My fitting team came in 2nd overall and out quiz bowl team took 1st and I was named to the Team Texas senior team for Nationals again!! Getting excited for JNHE in Madison!

Local Show 2026 is in the books. As usual, I was able to show each night and compete with multiple species. I am incredibly proud of how my goats performed, loved being able to show Gemelli one last time, and am looking forward to continuing to show Seraphina over the next couple of years. The biggest things I’m proud of is being back on top in Goat Showmanship and being able to compete for Master Showman, taking the title for Senior Skillathon, and finally taking the top honor of Premier Exhibitor. I learned a lot this year and built new connections, and I’m looking forward to a refresh for the 26-27 show season.

I got my newest piece of equipment this weekend! While I have another squeeze chute, this one is extra special- it’s branded with the American Hereford Association logo!! I am a proud Hereford breeder and showman and am so thankful to the American Hereford Association, National Junior Hereford Association, Hereford Youth Foundation of America, and Priefert for their generosity and for supporting kids like me who want to raise the best cattle breed in the world!

It’s almost time for my Local Show! Our county does not have a “county show” because we are mostly urban and there are very few livestock programs (mostly just our school district). So instead, our school district does our own. This will be my 8th year competing at Local Show! While I am not showing or selling any market animals this year, I would love to have any support as add-ons to help fund my program. Me and my parents spend quite a bit of time and money for my projects and activities and any donations would go towards my continued progress next year.

If you would like to come watch me show my goats, my gilt and chickens, and my heifers, our show will be March 24-27 at the GISD Ag Barn property. Thank you in advance for any support, whether financial or just good wishes!

San Antonio was amazing!! I’ve been before for Skillathon but this was my first time showing stock there. Gemelli has been a stubborn girl since I picked her out and this show was no different, but her build and body got us through the sift and penned for Top 5! We came in 4th class behind both the Breed and Reserve Breed gilts so I can’t complain. The judge liked her look and top line, she’s just a little off in her back legs. I couldn’t be prouder of my first pig show though to place at such a high level show! Thank you to The Bottleberghe Family for trusting me with her!

I went back a few days later for Beef Skillathon against some of the toughest people I’ve gone against. I was lucky enough to make finals and ended up 8th in the Senior Division!

San Antonio was very good to us this year. Next up is Houston!
