Not the brightest day today, but we do see the bulk of the rain hold off until after 5PM or so this evening. There will be lots of clouds and a few passing showers today, but it does not look like a washout. This is good news for the Danbury St. Patrick's Day Parade which kicks off at 2PM.

3PM future Radar shown below. Note Northern and Eastern CT have a better chance at steadier activity today. Heavier rain overtakes the region this evening and lasts through Monday morning. Models are fairly bullish on rain totals - 0.75 to 1.50 inches or rain expected.

📍 Starts at St. Peter Church, Danbury
➡️ Proceeds left onto West Street
🏁 Finishes at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, 6 Lake Ave

The two will be co- grand marshals of the greater Danbury St. Patrick’s Day parade this coming Sunday, March 22 at 2 PM in downtown Danbury. The pair raised the Irish flag this afternoon with and will be leading the parade from step off at 2 PM at St. Peter Church 104 Main St. to the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, 6 Lake Ave. Danbury.

✨☘🌈 St. Patrick’s Week in Greater Danbury — Come Celebrate! Join the community all week long as we celebrate Irish heritage, music, tradition, and of course a few good pints along the way! Here’s what’s happening around the Greater Danbury area.

🇮🇪 Saturday, March 14 – New Fairfield
9:00 AM – Mass at St. Edward’s Church
St. Edward the Confessor Church

Immediately following Mass, a procession to Town Hall for the Irish Flag Raising, followed by refreshments in the Library Annex.

Later that evening, head to the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center for Trivia Night with DJ Tyler.

☘️ Sunday, March 15 – Heritage Day
Celebrate Irish culture, music, and dance at the Irish Center!
🥃 1:00 PM – Irish Whiskey Tasting, $20 includes samples of five whiskeys and light fare.
🎶 2:00 PM – Live Music with Vincent Rodriguez
💃 3:30 PM – Irish Dance Performance by the Ashurst Academy Dancers
🎤 4:00 PM – Live Music with Kyle Coughlin
