Greater Danbury Irish Festival The 2026 Greater Danbury Irish Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26th & Sunday, Sept. 27th @ 12 noon both days at our club, 6 Lake Ave., Danbury.

Thank you to our 2026 sponsors, Setaro Law Firm & UK Gourmet! ☘️ The Greater Danbury Irish Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 from 12 - 10 p.m. & Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024 from 12 - 6 p.m. on the Danbury CityCenter Green! For more than two decades, the Greater Danbury Irish Festival has brought traditional Irish culture to the area through music, art, food and dance. It has been a vehicle to raise funds to open a cultural center focusing on all things Irish in our community. For two days, attendees will enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of Ireland as the GDICC & GDICF welcome artists, dancers, performers and musicians to the festival to showcase their talents and wares. Children and families will enjoy special activities such as face painting and arts and crafts. Young adults and foodies will sample traditional Irish fare from the Emerald Isle such as Guinness and Harp beers and of course good old corned beef and cabbage. Toes will be tapping and fingers will be snapping as people of all ages embrace all things Irish during this fun-filled weekend. Deck yourself out in your finest green and head down for a weekend of Irish culture you won’t soon forget! ☘️ FLASHING BACK TO 2019 @ THE PORTUGUESE CLUB! ☘️ As we get ready for another Greater Danbury Irish Festival, we’re looking back at the years of memories that brought us here — and honoring Gerry Curran, founder of the Greater Danbury Irish Festival, who helped make it all possible. 🇮🇪

From the early days at the Ives Center to the Portuguese Club and now back home at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, this festival has quite a history!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Gerry Curran, our past and present chairmen, volunteers, bands and sponsors who have given their time, energy and dedication — much of it behind the scenes — to keep this tradition going. ❤️☘️

As we get ready for another Greater Danbury Irish Festival, we’re taking a look back at the memories we’ve made along the way. From the Ives Center, to the Portuguese Club, and now proudly back home at our own center — the festival’s history runs deep!

And behind every festival, there are countless people who make it possible.
